Having completed a microbiology PhD on Salmonella in pigs at University of Liverpool, Georgina worked at AHDB Pork for a short time and was involved in the Real Welfare scheme. She then took up the role of Senior Policy Adviser at National Pig Association where she worked for 4.5 years on pig health and welfare policy, lobbying on behalf of British pig producers. Georgina has been working for Red Tractor for the last 6 years, where she is Technical Manager for Pigs, overseeing the development of the standards.
